LOST SOCK LAUNDRY began as a short presented as part of the LIC One-Act Festival at The Secret Theatre, directed by Christina Ashby. At the festival it was chosen as a finalist by the audience. The full script was developed through the Clay & Water 2019 playwrights retreat sponsored by Clamour Theatre Company (Clay County, FL) where it received a developmental reading.

Ivan Faute’s theatrical credits include the City Lit Art of Adaptation Festival winner "Poe's The Fall of the House of Usher," The Darling Children at New York International Fringe, and the Capital Fringe movement piece Life, Death, & Everything In-Between. His plays have been produced in New York, London, Houston, and Chicago, and his prose appears in over three dozen journals. His prose was named a finalist for the Calvino Prize and his play Elephant: A Comedy a finalist for the Award of Excellence in Playwriting by the Association for Theater in Higher Education. He is currently an Assistant Professor in English at Christopher Newport University in southeast Virginia. www.ivanfaute.org

Melissa Mowry is a Brooklyn-based director and teaching artist.  Originally from Virginia Beach, Virginia, Melissa has a BA in Music Industry and Drama from Randolph-Macon College, and her MFA in Directing from The Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University. 

In 2016, Melissa co-founded, Secret6Train Production, a web-based production company, where she recently directed the 5iveSenses Short Film Series. She has also worked with The Lower Eastside Shakespeare Company, The WP Theatre, The Tank, Women of Color Productions, The Secret Theatre, The Ume Group, New York Fringe Festival, and The New Group in New York, and the Kattaikkuttu Sangam and Gurukulam in Tamil Nadu, India.
